This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team as a Purchasing and Logistics Engineer within our site in Swatragh.


This role will be responsible for working with the procurement manager and our stores team to ensure that Crossland's and our customer's material planning needs are met supporting the company's production activities between both sites in Swatragh and Burnley.

Qualifications and Experience

Working toward a Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or relevant industrial qualification Minimum 5 GCSE's grade A - C, including mathematics and English
Good MS Office skills, especially MS Excel Good organisational and time-management skills Good communication skills

On the job training will be provided should be successful with your application.

About The Role

Responsibilities

The Procurement and Logistics placement role within Crossland Tankers will include the following responsibilities;

Be part of multi-functional teams to drive value within our business Work with engineering team to research different components to add value to our parts sales Liaise with suppliers for new components and to ensure we meet our requirements Organise internal logistical movements within the company, this includes use of the Trader Support Service Send order book updates to suppliers and expedite deliveries Work with the Stores team on processing goods receipts and transfers and drive value within our picking processes Work with the buyers on reviewing and processing invoices Manage the document retention process Update and maintain relevant data with the ERP system

Required Criteria

Minimum 5 GCSE's grade A - C, including mathematics and English
Good MS Office skills, especially MS Excel You must be legally entitled to work in the UK. Working toward a Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or relevant industrial qualification

About The Company

When we first started out in business back in 1988, we were originally a tanker repair and servicing company, providing maintenance services to local bulk liquid haulage companies.


However, although our resources were modest when we started out, our passion, determination, and ambition to succeed were always there in abundance.


As a result, by the mid-1990s - building on our extensive repairs experience - we began to manufacture our very own tankers for the UK road industry at our factory in Swatragh, trading under the name Crossland Tankers Ltd.

Company Culture

From here, our business grew year-on-year, culminating in the purchase of Massey tankers, in 2003. This not only gave us access to a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, it also gave us a base within the UK mainland.


Today, we employ over 130 people across our two manufacturing sites at Swatragh (Northern Ireland) and Burnley (Lancashire) and are one of the leading tanker manufacturers in the UK and Ireland.
