We are seeking a motivated individual with an eye for detail who is both comfortable communicating with our trusted supply chain over the phone and with clear written communications. An appetite to learn and adapt is essential for the role as you begin to understand our business. As you continue to grow in the role, there are opportunities for you to input and improve how we work, adopting Solinear's desire to implement continuous improvement.
Solinear are delighted to offer the opportunity to join the Operations Team as the Procurement Coordinator. The successful candidate will be offered the position with training, if required, including L3 or L4 CIPS Procurement Certification. Should training not be required, the salary offer would be reflective of this.
Previous experience in procurement or an administrative role would be beneficial for success in the role. Graduates with associated degrees seeking their first steps into this career path would also be encouraged to apply.
Role and Responsibilities
Procurement
Compile quotations from suppliers to allow purchasing agreements to be made and progress.
Complete administrative duties associated with the purchase, including raising detailed Purchase Orders, later used by Goods-in colleagues.
Ensure consumable items are available, as required, for the Production, Site and Office Teams.
Supply Chain
Monitor Supplier progress with live orders, inclusive of delivery dates, and communicate these to colleagues internally.
Monitor and resolve External Non-Conformance Reports aligned to Solinear's Quality Policies.
Obtain, coordinate and record live rates for items such as Aluminium from the appropriate partners.
Stock
Take a lead role in the quarterly reporting of stock levels, allowing for accurate valuations of stock to be formed.
Develop the live stock-control systems currently in place. Ensuring lean procurement and manufacturing can take place.
Maintain live status of extrusion dies, ensuring internal databases accurately reflect their availability.
General Admin and Office support
Reconcile Purchase Orders aligned to true value, duration and usage, matching and confirming that of the invoice.
Answering the Solinear central phone line and directing calls as required.
Support with wider administrative duties of the organisation, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and client requirements, inclusive of document control.
