How You Will Contribute:
Ciena's International Partner Management organization is looking for a dynamic Procurement Leader to work within the Service Partner Management team. The successful candidate will work under direction of the Sr. Director, Service Partner Management.
The role requires a balanced focus between strategic aspects of our Service procurement strategy, along with tactical management of our entire procurement function. This role supports an ecosystem of Service partners located in EMEA, India and APJ and includes a strong dose of interactions with external 3rd parties. This is a remote position (home based) and the ideal candidate is located in the UK or continental Europe.
This person will be responsible for the following:Negotiating, executing, and maintaining Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) with 3rd party Service Delivery partners
Working with internal stakeholders and partners to create and execute custom SOWs for new or bespoke services
Reviewing and providing feedback on Pre-Qualification Questionnaires for potential partners
Initiating and tracking the due diligence (risk asses) process for the onboarding of new partners
Consulting with Ciena legal and internal SMEs on various contract related matters
Working with internal stakeholders to create, run, and analyze sourcing events for new services or price books
Tracking and reporting on monthly/quarterly savings
Working with and supporting the Procurement Governance team on Ciena's digital transformation.
Responding to various contract related queries raised by internal stakeholders
Must Haves:Strong communication skills: written and formal presentations.
Fluent in English, written and oral - Multi-lingual is a plus.
Comfortable working with multiple internal teams from individual contributors to senior executives
Good manager of people and relationships.
Project management skills in keeping projects on schedule and assuring all relevant parties are informed on progress or issues.
Demonstrated skills in desktop applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project planning software.
5-10 years of demonstrated experience in contractual negotiations - ideally in Services domain
Bachelors' degree in Procurement, Management, Engineering, Business, or related fields preferred.
Availability to travel 5-10% of time.

Multitasking: able to manage many aspects of various projects or files simultaneously while prioritizing.
