A significant input into ECG's business, is how the company interacts with its supply chain partners; both suppliers and subcontractors, to deliver best value both internally to ECG and externally to our clients.
To meet the increasing requirements of this part of the business, ECG are looking to further strengthen the Procurement Team, with the appointment of a high calibre Procurement Officer, who will continue to develop the existing procurement strategies within ECG and help shape future procurement strategies across the wider Mecsia Group. Duties
To ensure the efficient, effective and systematic procurement of goods and services, delivering best value to ECG.
Effective monitoring of procurement contracts.
Development of transparent tendering processes and schedules,
Development of best practice in procurement.
Create, issue and track purchase orders to ensure all goods and services are delivered on time.
Manage supply chain partner relations to ensure long term consistency.
Generate timeous, highly accurate reports to internal stakeholders on category spend.
Support internal stakeholders with procurement strategies.
Work with Mecsia Group stakeholders to ensure group strategies meet the needs of ECG.
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure ECG strategies have the same synergies as those of the Mecsia Group.
Analyse current contractual agreements/provisions and develop strategies to ensure conformance of non-compliant supply chain partners.
Advise of new or emerging ideas and or processes which may have a positive role in developing the relationship between procurement and all other areas of the business.
Development of systems and reporting automations working in conjunction with ECG's internal Work Hub Team.
Requirements
Minimum 5 - 10 years' experience in procurement/supply chain management, preferably in a similar engineering environment.
MCIPS or studying towards MCIPS qualification.
Highly numerate, strong organisational skills and excellent time management skills.
Strong understanding of procurement/contractual law both UK & EU based, inclusive of the social value element of contract procurement.
Ability to undertake category relevant research/analysis and draw the required conclusions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Highly developed skills/knowledge with Microsoft Office work packages, especially Excel & Word.
Experience of PowerQuery/Power BI advantageous but not essential.
Highly analytical with keen eye for detail.
Excellent team player but also able to work under own initiative.
