The Squad Delivery Lead is responsible for guiding two critical cyber security services with cross-functional squad members to deliver security engineering and cyber initiatives using Agile methodologies. The role ensures the squad remains focused, effective, and aligned with business objectives by facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, coaching team members, supporting backlog management, managing squad capacity, reporting progress, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with stakeholders.
In this role you will embed Agile ways of working, drive continuous improvement, and deliver business value through security engineering and change practices. You will be the trusted advisor on Agile and ways of working, helping stakeholders navigate the complex landscape of BAU, running and integration of information security.
Strategy and Policy:
Support the development and execution of practice-wide strategies and the organisations overall governance requirements.
Facilitation of the integration of strategic objectives into practice-level, enhancing practice performance and procedures.
Change Management:
Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Ensure delivery of sprint goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Drive cybersecurity change management activities to align with enterprise risk and compliance objectives.
Embed organisational change management, actively participate in the Ways of Working (WoW) and continuous improvement.
Programme, 3rd party POC's and Integration:
Support the implementation and assessment of third-party proof of concepts (POC's) in alignment with Security Engineering and Cyber Strategy objectives.
Work closely with stakeholders to successfully deliver projects, POC's, integration deliverables and long-term solutions.
Engage with stakeholders across business, programme teams, third party vendors and consultants, with the aim of delivering business benefits.
Ensure adherence to testing, quality, change control and release management.
Cultivate a standardised corporate culture and adhere to best practice standardisation and alignment by adhering to the VDF methodology as recommended by SPPM.
Risk and Compliance:
Identify, assess, and manage risks; ensure compliance with internal and external security standards
Support governance and assurance across the entire security portfolio.
Conduct regular compliance reviews and ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations (e.g. PCI DSS for Data Security).
Provide regular updates on squad progress, risks, and KPIs
Operations and Management:
Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to security posture and risk.
Manage resources for the security practice.
Mentor team members and promote a collaborative environment
Stakeholder Engagement:
Leading stakeholders' engagement initiatives to ensure alignment and collaboration across teams.
Manage stakeholder relationships to support objectives and drive strategic outcomes.
Facilitate effective communication and engagement between stakeholders and teams.
Acting as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders to support practice delivery and performance.
Experience:
Proven experience as active Product Owner, Scrum Master or Squad Lead experience in a software development environment.
Roles with experience in delivery, PMO, project, or program roles will also be expected.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple squads or large complex projects simultaneously.
Agile Delivery and Transformation
Deep hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), including facilitating ceremonies, backlog management, and driving continuous improvement.
Track record of embedding Agile ways of working and coaching teams to higher maturity.
Agile and Lean Methodologies
Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (such as Scrum and Kanban), including how to facilitate Agile ceremonies, drive continuous improvement, and embed Agile ways of working within teams.
Change and Programme Management
Understanding of change management processes, programme/project delivery, and integration of third-party solutions, including proof-of-concept (POC) assessments.
Governance and Assurance
Knowledge of governance frameworks, assurance activities, and how to conduct compliance reviews and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Business and Financial Acumen
Understanding of how security initiatives align with business objectives, including managing resources, supporting strategic projects, and contributing to financial and risk controls.

Pay: 400.00-450.00 per day
