About the Role




Join our Edinburgh-based design team and help transform how energy industry professionals interact with critical data. As a mid-level Product Designer, you'll play a key role in our product team, creating innovative solutions that redefine customer experiences with our industry-leading energy data platform.


Working within our collaborative design team across Edinburgh and London offices, you'll have the autonomy to conceptualise breakthrough ideas. You'll validate your work directly with customers and collaborate using tools like Figma, Amplitude and Dovetail, working alongside developers using React and other modern technologies.

What You'll Do



Design Excellence:

Deliver high-quality, user-centred designs that balance customer needs with business objectives

Customer Focus:

Conduct research and develop deep customer insights to create best-in-class, innovative user experiences

Strategic Collaboration:

Partner with product owners and stakeholders to ensure design decisions are informed by user research and business strategy

Design System:

Contribute to and evolve our enterprise design system, ensuring consistency across our product ecosystem

Cross-functional Partnership:

Work closely with Product, Engineering, and QA teams in an agile environment

What We're Looking For



Essential Experience:



3+ years in UX/Product Design with a strong portfolio showcasing interface design and UX process Proven experience in collaborative product team environments Full UX design process expertise: user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and usability testing Agile development methodology experience

Key Skills:



Research & Testing:

Comfortable planning and conducting usability tests, writing test plans, and translating insights into design decisions

Workshop Facilitation:

Confident leading and participating in UX workshops and design sprints

Communication:

Excellent ability to articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders at all levels

Tools:

Proficiency with Figma and Dovetail (or equivalent tools like Sketch, InVision, Adobe CS)

Stakeholder Management:

Experience managing discussions with internal and external stakeholders

What Makes You Stand Out:
