What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

We have a great opportunity for a Product Development Technical Support to join our Central Tobacco Heated Products (THP) Product Deployment team based in Southampton.

The role offers the opportunity to work in a Global above market Product Deployment team, developing and deploying products to our growing 25+ THP markets that are positioned all over the World and across multiple regions.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

You will get exposure to a global environment and learn the basic principles of consumer product development & deployment. Additionally, you will engage with the processes that underpin how we work with Next Generation Product operations in a multinational company & interact with diverse stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
  • To assist in delivering an assigned portfolio of projects and activities within the product deployment plan. This will require the coordination of internal and external stakeholders in alignment with the Product Development Manager to support delivery of the commercial vision for the product.
  • To support with assigned development activities (projects, continuous improvement, testing, etc.).
  • To contribute to the development and deployment activities which the Team are responsible for.
  • To assist with the implementation of new and modified products at factory level, through specifications in SAP.
  • To assist with the quality and consistency of product specifications through tracking of regular analytical results and propose corrective actions where required (with the guidance of Senior Expert).
  • To aid with manufacturing trials, new product implementations, and monitoring of performance data in cooperation with the quality department.
  • To create product specifications and recipes in SAP.
  • To manage Product Compliance activities for relevant projects.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Experience Required
  • Self-motivated, proactive with good time management and organizational skills;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate;
  • Ambitious and eager to progress;
  • Comfortable with hands-on product development in laboratory environment;
Desirable Requirements
  • Understanding of product development principles and processes;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel & PowerPoint);
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
  • University degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
