What you will do:

  • Creates customer centric journeys and processes - define who your customers are, what they enjoy, what they need and where our opportunities are
- Works closely with the UXUI team to brief new issues/opportunities and allow them time to create user testing and feedback

- Has experience in using Heap, GA, hotjar and Power BI

- Demos constantly their work and ideas in the PM Ops meeting
  • Define, prioritise and sequence the backlog of user stories, working with cross-functional feature teams to bring new propositions and features to life
- Create user stories with the engineering team and embraces Behavioural Driven Development

- Sets the sprint goal - aligning it with engineering
  • Works in collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these to engineering
- Holds frequent ideation sessions

- Create new projects using \'A3\' lean methodology

- Has a keen understanding of the commercials - how does the product makes money?

- Holds the pen on creating NPD documents - ensures Product are kept updated with progress
  • Ensures there is constant communication and transparency with how the product is evolving and performing
- Chairing: prioritisation and attends monthly domain meetings with the business and engineering

- Attending as a stakeholder: Sprint reviews chaired by engineering

- Attending all scrum ceremonies (standups, planning, refinement, 3 amigos, demos and retrospectives)
  • Use Data to understand our customer pain points and the results of how changes implemented are performing, in partnership with the growth and credit risk analysts
  • Build products which consider data capture and reporting from the outset
  • Help create the visions which align business and commercial goals, alongside the constraints of technical debt
  • Create and protect a roadmap - changes and deviations must have clear rationale and communicated up
- Update roadmap on a weekly basis

- Issues with projects/initiatives go to Amber/Red should be escalated up immediately

- Ensures every deliverable has clear tangible/measurable value which can be defined upfront
  • Internal audit actions must be prioritised with clear updates to the Director of Product on a regular basis
  • Understands how the product works from a high to medium level technical perspective and ensures operational blueprints and work flows are updated
  • Works extensively with the business owner to ensure we are hitting our commercial goals
  • Experience in digital ways-of-working (e.g. agile methodologies), advocating ongoing change
  • Works collaboratively across multi-functional teams including distribution channels, IT, Engineering and Change
What you will need:
  • Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
  • Understand the prioritisation framework and manage conflicting priorities to deliver ongoing value from the feature team
  • Good communication and negotiation skills to protect the roadmap and ensure it is up to date and relevant
  • Experience in delivering products alongside driving continuous improvements for our existing products in an Agile framework
  • Knowledge of basic technology and how to write requirements which can be technical in nature
  • Knowledge of how-to breakdown a project/initiative into a series of deliverables (MVP)
  • Know how to gather non-functional requirements to ensure we are building scalable and performative products and features
  • Knowledge of who are customers are and can derive data to support changes in the roadmap
  • Agile and SAFE experience
