Job Description


Reporting to the Commercial Director of Savings, this role supports the development, management, and enhancement of savings products offered by Aldermore.

This role plays a crucial role in driving product growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Savings Product Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, operations, and technology, to help define and execute the product strategy, deliver innovative savings solutions, and maximise the savings products value proposition

What will your day look like?

  • Support with the management of the savings product and distribution strategy to meet savings objectives for new business and retention, including pricing strategy. Specific focus will be on managing product T&C\xe2\x80\x99s, and the Change Requests for product and pricing changes
  • Support strategic and tactical savings forecasts, to meet liquidity targets and optimise product costs. Work with Finance to ensure Budgets are appropriate
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, such as finance, risk, legal, compliance, and technology teams, to ensure product compliance with regulations and internal policies
  • Collaborate with the technology team to define and prioritise product development initiatives and ensure smooth implementation
  • Partner with sales teams to provide product training and support, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively sell savings products.
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners, such as vendors and industry associations, to stay informed about market trends, best practices and emerging technologies
  • Deliver robust and timely analysis and reporting to understand and provide management insight on anticipated variances to Budgets: product performance; customer behaviour; competition etc
  • Support the Savings team to efficiently manage development and testing of new concepts, and incorporation into business as usual
  • Manage savings product-related risks
  • Involvement and participation in strategic and tactical projects as required.
About you:

As a Savings Product Manager, you will play a vital role in driving the success of savings products within the financial institution. Your expertise in product management, strategic thinking, and collaboration will be essential in developing and optimising savings products that meet customer needs, deliver value, and contribute to the organisations growth. By staying ahead of market trends and ensuring regulatory compliance, you will play a key role in maintaining the organisations competitive edge in the savings product market
  • Previous experience of managing savings products and promotion through online and offline channels, preferably across Retail and SME savings, or other FS products as a minimum.
  • Commercially and industry-savvy with good understanding of savings business dynamics, and channels through which it operates.
  • Industry and market insight, ability to benchmark business in context of broader competitor marketplace.
  • Experience of analysing complex FS product data and presenting this and product proposals to multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of supporting continuous improvement in a financial services environment.
  • Driven, self-motivated and disciplined, with demonstrable appetite to maximise product and business success.
  • Comfortable and effective when operating at both a strategic and tactical level.
  • Good communication and influencing skills - ability to present coherent and comprehensive recommendations confidently and in a compelling manner to senior management on both written and verbal bases.
  • Highly numerate, analytical in decision-making, ability to lead using metrics and KPI information.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
