THE OPPORTUNITY

BroadGroup, which owns the Datacloud brand, is looking for an experienced, commercial, knowledgeable and entrepreneurial individual to help us supercharge our launch strategy and global portfolio growth.

Our flagship and regional events have experienced record growth since the pandemic, and we have a unique opportunity to bring our premium and highly regarded event series to more regions around the world. We are looking for someone who can turn opportunity into action and loves launching new products in addition to evolving existing events.

Our events are customer-centric and content-driven, as well as very well attended by senior leaders from across the industries that we serve. The role will involve opportunities to interact and build relationships with some of the most interesting people in the digital infrastructure space.

THE TEAM

BroadGroup is a key portfolio within Delinian\xe2\x80\x99s Telecoms & Tech event brands. We are in growth mode, with 3 new roles created (one Product Manager and two Sales team members).

Our flagship event takes place in Cannes and our ambitious launch plans mean that you will need to love travel and be able to be on the road for both events and client meetings throughout the year.

Our sister brands are International Telecoms Week (ITW), Capacity Media, Connected Enterprise and TowerXchange. Whilst this role would be focused on BroadGroup, there is plenty of cross-group collaboration.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

You will be responsible for the management and delivery of several events across the year. You will get hands on with new product launches from concept to validation to delivery and you will want to be seen as a key industry stakeholder \xe2\x80\x93 someone who is in the know and who knows everyone!

The day-to-day will be varied, and the ideal candidate will have existing market knowledge (and relationships) alongside a keen desire to learn more. Datacloud events tackle topics from AI to ESG to investment to talent to site selection, encompassing both technical and strategic trends and themes. This a fantastic opportunity for producer who gets excited about creating new products, diving into new challenges, building key relationships and desires a highly varied role.

This is a newly created role within a business line that has big ambitions and huge potential. As the division grows, the scope for this role does too and the perfect candidate will go above and beyond to generate and capitalise on opportunities.

You will:

  • Actively support and engage with digital infra market segments in order to ensure growth of the portfolio, generate ideas and build commercial products
  • Project manage new and repeat events with a focus on the customer-journey in collaboration with cross-functional departments
  • Produce market-leading agendas featuring the key industry influencers in any given region or market in addition to creating the full lifecycle of our content and engagement strategy, unlocking multi-channel opportunities
  • Be a thought-leader and key team player with a stake in the game, we want to deliver the best experiences for our audience and a key part of this is understanding market levers which drive commercial leads coupled with instilling commercial best-practices throughout the event cycle
  • Play a role in delivering amazing experiences for our speakers, sponsors and attendees by ensuring quality production credentials and implementing innovative new content formats
  • Lead an Advisory Board of 20+ C-level executives across the global ICT industry and gain their influence and buy-in on product creation

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS
  • Natural gravitas and highly articulate with the potential and desire to be perceived as key influencer within the industry
  • Natural networker and relationship-builder with an authentic and friendly style
  • Knowledge of various project management tools and methodologies
  • Instinctive ability to build consensus across senior leaders, manage objections and create enthusiasm
  • Highly driven individual with evidence of commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial approach to work
  • Ability to work under pressure and under tight timelines
  • Strong presentation skills to a senior audience, including delivering keynotes and moderating panels at events
  • Keenness to learn and ability to assimilate information of a technical nature coupled with excellent research skills (desk + in-person)
  • Interest in international politics, economics, technology and geopolitics with an ability to apply knowledge to their work
EXPERIENCE

Essential
  • Proven experience in producing successful thought-leadership, product add-ons and networking activities for virtual and physical trade shows, conferences and meetings
  • Experience in managing and delivering complex commercial event projects and project teams
  • Knowledge of the data centre, cloud, digital infrastructure and/or telecoms market with established relationships
  • Sound understanding of the broader ICT and digital infrastructure ecosystems including key market drivers, players, technologies, investments and trends
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and financial management
  • Experience in working in technology or telecommunications or digital infra investment related verticals
  • Experience producing high-quality pieces of research (eg. market mapping, industry trends)
Desirable
  • Previous management experience (direct or indirect)
  • Language skills (Spanish highly desirable)
