Pimberly (www.pimberly.com) is a thriving technology company and software manufacturer with an exciting, SaaS, cloud-based PIM, DAM and Workflow product. To continue with our planned expansion and continued investment in our product we are looking for a skilled professional who can take up the vacancy of Product Owner.

Overview



The Product Owner is expected to do the best possible job of satisfying all stakeholders, maintain the Product Backlog, and ensure that everyone knows the priorities. The Product Owner is accountable for maximising the value of the product resulting from the work of the Scrum Team. It is their responsibility to prioritise and communicate the stakeholder needs to the Development Team.

To do so, the Product Owner registers all the required improvements in the Product Backlog, adds information to make them understandable, and prioritises them for the team. Using the Product Backlog, Product Goal, and Product Increments they are maximising the value of the product.

Department / Location Product Team



Supporting UK and international projects from the main office in Central Manchester, flexible hybrid policy on home and office working but expect 3-4 days in the Manchester office to be able to interface with team members and occasional onsite customer visits in the UK.

Reports to Product Manager Package An attractive, market-leading package will be offered, based on skills, experience and performance.

It is important to understand that the Product Owner is not in charge of the Development Team. Their main responsibility is to effectively communicate the Product Goal and priorities. While the Developers organise themselves in trying to reach this goal.

Key Performance Objectives



Quality: Features Proposals and functional requirements must be clearly authored and converted into epics/tickets accordingly

Communication: Ensure the problem statement, scope, and estimations for new functionality is clearly communicated within the development team and all other Pimberly stakeholders are kept updated with progress

Relationships: To build strong relationships across Pimberly, from sales and pre-sales through implementation and support and of course within the development team

Ceremonies: Efficient and frequent execution of sprint-based ceremonies

Key Responsibilities



Developing and communicating the Product Goal - Evaluating the stakeholder needs and providing the guidance for the Development Team

Creating the Product Backlog items - Turning the business needs into clear items that can be taken on by the team

Prioritising the Product Backlog - Ordering the items to ensure the Developers know which are priority and most important

Ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible and understood - Presenting and adjusting the Product Backlog to make sure the information is clear to everyone

Working closely with the technology, you will be able to clarify any functional element of the Pimberly platform to support internal requests

Presenting to the senior leadership teams, stakeholders and customers as appropriate

To work autonomously to drive, build, and execute agreed deliverables

Competencies



Some experience in product owner role desirable but not essential

Authoring and analytical skills, along with collaboration and communication

Confident self-starter who will drive and deliver results

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-46,000.00 per year
