This is a remote role with the requirement to travel for internal meetings as required.



The role



As a Product Owner, you will work within a multidisciplined product team on the market leading HE student management system, SITS. This role will contribute to a product-wide transformation project as we progress to providing our software as a service. You will support user experience initiatives as we modernise the product. Working with UX designers and internal steering groups. Your responsibilities will include:



Engaging with and explaining the solution to sales teams, customers, analysts, and developers.

Ensuring product Initiatives are delivered predictably and with the necessary collateral.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to refine the product feature backlog. Ensure the feature backlog is in line with the product direction and objectives and provides clarity to the engineering teams.

Define detailed use cases to drive prioritisation and enhance user experience through direct user feedback.

Continuously identify and propose new ideas and product solutions, coordinating with the relevant internal teams.

Convert the product vision, business strategy, and customer requirements into software features and product features

Clearly define, document, and articulate product requirements and/or user stories.

Build and maintain productive and effective relationships with all product stakeholders.

Ensure that feature Backlogs are well-defined and managed effectively, meeting all contractual and statutory commitments and clearly communicating with all stakeholders.



The Skills you'll have:



Experience as a Product Owner or product related customer facing role..

Familiarity with the development Process and understanding technical constraints.

Excellent requirement gathering skills and the ability to validate and translate those requirements into user stories for the development team.



It would be great if you had:



Experience with SaaS platforms.

A background in UI/UX design or a keen eye for design principles.

Experience delivering a user experience transformation project
