Job Description

:
Product Owner - CRB Cunninghams UK
CRB Cunninghams are driving new standards in the innovation and design of software solutions across the Education Cashless Catering and Online Payments Sector. Already the established market leader, we continuously challenge our great team to extend and enhance an extensive portfolio of desktop, mobile and web-based products in an exciting and rewarding environment.
As Product Owner, you'll take ownership of one of our core digital platforms, playing a critical role in driving product excellence and delivering meaningful value to our diverse customer base. Working at the heart of cross-functional teams, you'll champion user needs, align with business goals, and ensure that every sprint delivers real, measurable outcomes.
Position
This role will be central to the success of one of our established product lines, with an emphasis on clarity, consistency, and continual evolution. You'll be responsible for managing the full product life cycle: from discovery and definition through delivery and iteration.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, in addition to our customers and users --ensuring that everyone is aligned on what we're building, why we're building it, and what success looks like.
The product serves a diverse user base, with very different behaviours and expectations. Your ability to balance competing needs while maintaining a sharp product focus will be essential.
Partnering with design, engineering and operations, you'll normalise everyday AI use by setting standards, sharing success stories, and building the skills and rituals that make responsible AI part of how we work.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESOwn the product backlog and roadmap, maintaining a clear and prioritised view of upcoming work based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility. Work closely with cross-functional teams to define clear, achievable product goals and ensure delivery of high-quality features that meet real customer problems. Translate product strategy into detailed user stories and requirements, ensuring technical teams have everything they need to execute effectively. Engage with users and internal teams to uncover insights, pain points, and opportunities--applying both quantitative and qualitative methods. Develop and track key product metrics, using data to inform decisions and iterate on solutions. Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to shape intuitive, accessible, and satisfying product experiences across web and mobile. Act as the go-to expert for your product--internally and externally--helping others understand its capabilities, roadmap, and value. Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and proactively manage communication to ensure alignment, buy-in, and momentum. Balance and prioritise the needs of multiple customer segments, identifying trade-offs and driving clarity on what delivers the most value. Continuously improve team ways of working, using Agile methodologies and contributing to a culture of accountability, learning, and collaboration. Help build and improve automations and AI workflows/tools to help streamline processes and save time.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS3+ years' experience in a product owner or product management role, ideally with a focus on web and mobile platforms. Strong experience working on complex products with multiple user types or customer segments. Demonstrated ability to break down broad product goals into well-defined, deliverable workstreams. Confident in engaging directly with customers, gathering insights, and feeding them into product discovery and delivery. Comfortable making trade-offs and prioritisation decisions in fast-moving, real-world settings. Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams and a strong understanding of iterative development. Proven track record of collaborating effectively with design and engineering teams. Comfortable using and incorporating generative AI tools and processes in their work and coaching others on their use too. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. Outcome-driven mindset: you care about the value delivered, not just the features shipped. Familiarity with the UK education sector, payments systems, or B2B2C product environments is a plus.
