WHAT TO EXPECT

An exciting Product Owner opportunity for an organised technically minded and influential individual has arisen in the Steering System Squad within Chassis Engineering, Steering, Wheels and Tyres Group.

As an AGILE Product Owner, the successful candidate will co-ordinate and set the vision of a team responsible for the creation of Steering and TPMS Systems Engineering Artefacts including requirements, test cases, use case analysis, functional failure analysis, logical architecture diagrams and MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) models.

The Systems Engineering framework enables the seamless integration and delivery of high quality complex mechatronic systems into production as well as maximise the systems features and functions to enhance the customer\'s experience.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Define key priorities to be delivered by the Squad.
  • Align priorities with key stakeholders and customers regularly and capture requests in the Squad\'s Backlog.
  • Support Chapter Leads in preparing QBR Memo.
  • Discuss Squad burndown charts with Scrum Master and Agile Coach.
  • Review skillset needed in the Squad with Chapter Lead.
  • Drive transition to Agile scrum alongside Scrum Master.
  • Coach and support squad members on technical topics.
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential:
  • Strong Systems Engineering knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in Mechatronics Systems design.
  • Proven experience of stakeholder management at all levels.
  • Organisation skills and ability to process large volumes of multidisciplinary information to be filtered down to squad members.
  • AGILE Scrum methodology.
  • Model Based Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in virtual validation methods (Matlab, IPG CarMaker).
  • Steering Systems or Chassis/Powertrain background.
  • Previous Product Owner experience.
