As a business we are going through a period of growth, and we are looking for Product Owners to work closely with developers to drive the quality and vision of our EMIS-X products. At EMIS, we are transitioning to the Scaled Agile Framework for our exciting programme of technology transformation and we would love you to join us on that journey!

What you\'ll do

As a Product Owner you will play a significant part in ensuring that we deliver a successful product that represents the requirements of the customer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team that is driving and delivering products that enable medical professionals to connect with patients and provide efficient and effective care using cutting-edge technology. Collaboration is key at EMIS, as a Product Owner you will work proactively with colleagues in the product team, development teams, internal stakeholders and most importantly our customers.

Working remotely, you will be responsible for maintaining and refining the product backlog, plus developing user stories and prioritising requirements for the development team.

Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include;

  • Ensure features and user stories are documented using the Jira system.
  • Carry out product planning and forecasting, including scheduling releases and ensuring the product is released as planned.
  • Actively participate in refinement sessions to ensure that the development team are clear on the requirements.
  • Support the team in creating documentation throughout the product life cycle.
Who you\'ll be

We need you to be an experienced Product Owner with a passion for innovation and developing products through the entire product lifecycle. You will be inquisitive, understanding the needs of our customers and internal stakeholders to deliver the product roadmap to the market and the wider business.

Having worked in an agile environment previously, you will have a proven record of strategic backlog planning and management. Collaboration is essential; you will be able to demonstrate previous experience of engaging with technologists and creating structure to meet sprint targets.

Other professional and technical skills we are looking for you to demonstrate include;
  • Previous experience and passion for product delivery
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong collaborator with internal and external stakeholders
  • Display a growth mindset to support development within products and ways of working
  • Experience within health care or software product delivery is desirable but not essential to your success
