We partner with over 2,000 charitable organisations across the UK to install contactless card terminals and donation webpages to collect donations.

We are growing and are looking for a product-focused individual to join our team. This role is about developing our products to make charities more successful in fundraising. There are plenty of opportunities to grow and develop your skills in this role in a fast-paced tech start-up environment.

What you'll be doing:



Lead and line manage Dona's software development team (three developers), driving delivery across the our Dona platform. Run daily stand-ups, retrospectives and planning sessions to keep development focused, unblock issues, and maintain team momentum. Own and manage the product and hardware backlog prioritising features, bugs, and tech debt for software, APIs, and physical products like DCPs. Gather requirements from customers and internal stakeholders, translating them into clear user stories and UX specifications. Test and validate completed work against acceptance criteria to ensure quality and alignment with requirements. Coordinate and oversee software and hardware releases across multiple environments including internal and customer-facing communications. Analyse usage data and feedback to evaluate feature success and inform future development. Create product walkthrough videos and documentation to support internal teams and customer onboarding. Deliver engaging webinars to demonstrate new features and gather feedback directly from users.

Skills and experience we're looking for in a candidate:



Proven line management experience, with a track record of supporting, mentoring, and developing software engineers. Solid technical grounding, including familiarity with modern web and mobile architecture APIs, and cloud platforms. Confident Agile practitioner, with hands-on experience leading daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog management using tools like Jira. Strong UX intuition able to review, create, and refine product designs and wireframes to improve usability across web, mobile, and hardware interfaces. Excellent communicator, capable of clearly translating complex ideas between developers, stakeholders, and customers in person, over Zoom, or through product videos. Customer-focused mindset, comfortable running product demos and webinars, gathering feedback, and turning insights into feature improvements. Detail-oriented and organised, with experience in acceptance testing, release coordination, and cross-environment deployments (e.g., staging, production). Comfortable working across both software and hardware workflows, including planning releases for embedded devices (like donation terminals) and managing hardware lifecycle. Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar product or delivery leadership role in a fast-paced, mission-driven organisation.

Hybrid home and office working (office based in Hove). Expected to be in the office 1 day a week.

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
