About the Role:

We are hiring a focused and experienced Production & Dispatch Manager to oversee both the production operations within our in-house lab in Bury, Manchester and the daily dispatch of customer orders. This role is critical to ensuring our end-to-end output runs smoothly--from lens tray management to final doorstep delivery..

Key Responsibilities:

? Supervise day-to-day lab production operations, including lens sorting, tray flow, and assembly

? Ensure end-to-end flow from lab to delivery meets the 24-hour fulfilment standard

? Monitor the entire order lifecycle--order print, lab processing, quality checks, and packing

? Track inventory movement within lab and stockroom; coordinate restocking as needed

? Manage receiving of goods and container intake; update systems and stock levels accordingly

? Drive daily production planning in alignment with fulfilment volume

? Maintain operational discipline, cleanliness, and compliance in lab and dispatch zones

? Lead lab and dispatch teams; assign roles, monitor performance, and provide hands-on support

? Coordinate closely with the Stores and Customer Support to resolve delays or fulfilment issues

? Generate daily output and dispatch reports for leadership visibility

? Recruit and train new team members to support scaling production volume

? Lead the operational rollout of night-time production and shift-based workflows

What We're Looking For:

? Proven experience managing both production and dispatch in a physical operations environment

? Strong ability to manage throughput, maintain quality, and coordinate teams

? Organised and proactive, with high attention to detail and process discipline

? Strong leadership and floor management skills

? Experience in a lab-based, fulfilment, or e-commerce logistics environment is highly preferred

? Able to work efficiently in high-speed, high-volume conditions
