Job Description

The Production Assistant is to be skilled and detail-oriented and will be responsible for operating various production equipment, including printers, laminators, and cutters, and ensuring that products are processed and packaged efficiently for shipping. Hands-on experience with production machinery, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation:

Operate and maintain production equipment such as printers, laminators, and cutters to produce high-quality graphics and products. Ensure that all equipment is used according to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.

Production Process:

Assist in setting up and calibrating equipment for each production run, including adjusting settings and loading materials. Monitor production processes to ensure consistent quality and address any issues that arise during production.

Quality Control:

Conduct quality checks on products throughout the production process to ensure they meet company standards and client specifications. Make adjustments or corrections as needed to maintain product quality.

Packaging and Shipping:

Prepare finished products for packaging, including labeling, boxing, and organizing for shipment. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.

Inventory Management:

Assist with inventory control, including tracking materials and supplies used in the production process. Report any low inventory levels or equipment malfunctions to the Production Manager.

Maintenance and Cleanliness:

Perform routine maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.

Team Support:

Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production goals and deadlines. Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed, including training new staff on equipment use and production processes.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience operating printers, laminators, and cutters. Familiarity with packaging and shipping processes is a plus.

Skills:

Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting production equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Attributes:

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues promptly. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with specific production machinery used in graphic design and printing. Knowledge of safety practices related to equipment operation and production processes. Basic understanding of printing processes.
