Job Description

Welsh Lady Preserves is growing and we are looking for a Production Assistant, specialising in Cooking to join our team on a full-time basis.

You will assist in the production of our wide range of high quality and award winning products. You will work with the team to ensure that all products are produced to company specifications, timescales, and correct quantities ordered by our customers, in a safe and hygienic manner.

You will be responsible for cooking products by strictly following product recipe sheets and other other related activities to ensure cooking activities are efficiently carried out without compromise to quality or food safety. You will be obtaining and preparing materials for production activities, and responsible for the cleaning of the production areas and associated equipment.

A large proportion of the role will involve manual handling duties and working in a clean and tidy manner. You will need an understanding of food hygiene and health & safety. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with all members of staff in Welsh/English. Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain organised under pressure is essential.

Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential.

This is a full time role, typical working hours are:

Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16.15pm, Friday 08:00am - 15:30pm.

These hours may vary at certain times of the year and flexibility to work overtime may be required at busy periods.

Rate of Pay: From 12.70 per hour
