Production Assistant - Pellet Manufacturing

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Assistant to join our pellet manufacturing team. The role involves supporting daily production activities, operating machinery, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Full training will be provided for machine operation, quality checks, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Operate pellet-making machinery and equipment safely and efficiently

Assist with production line activities including material loading, monitoring, and packaging

Perform routine quality checks to ensure pellets meet industry and company standards

Monitor equipment for proper operation and report any faults or irregularities

Maintain a clean and organised workspace, following all safety guidelines

Support warehouse activities such as stacking, bagging, labelling, and palletising finished product

Follow all health & safety procedures, including PPE requirements

Record production data and report output to supervisors

Work as part of a team to ensure production targets and deadlines are met

Requirements

Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

Role involves lifting, standing, and operating machinery

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Willingness to learn new skills and operate machinery

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Basic numeracy and literacy skills

Previous factory or production experience is helpful but (not essential)

Working Hours

40 hours per week (shift patterns may vary depending on production schedules)

Overtime available during busy periods

Training Provided

Machine operation and safety

Quality control processes

Factory safety and compliance training (including PPE)

Forklift or other machinery training may be available depending on business needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
