Canopy Supervisor

Graham's the Family Dairy is a Scottish food and drink brand, producing award-winning dairy products. Our range includes milk, butter, cream, ice cream, yogurt, skyr and more.

We are looking to recruit two Canopy Supervisors for our production site at Glenfield in Cowdenbeath, Fife. One role is nightshift, one role is dayshift/backshift, both 5 days over 7, 40 hours per week.

Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you will be entrusted with a high degree of independence and have a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful impact towards the growth of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports and assists the Shift Manager in the smooth running of the production area.

Ensures all procedures are carried out in accordance with the Company Quality System.

Ensures product quality meets, or exceeds, specification.

Ensures the production of products run efficiently and that staff are always supervised

Manages staff breaks.

Sharing technical knowledge with team members to improve their capabilities. Mentoring, coaching & developing team members in company behaviours.

Utilises all available opportunities, enabling others to improve the way we do things

Ensure good manufacturing practices are adopted at all times.

Ensure staff adhere to company hygiene / quality standards at all times.

To maintain effective communication channels with all members of the team.

Takes responsibility for the shift when the Shift Manager is not in the production area.

Ensure labels printed as per plan standards, dates match with daily plan and correct format

Ensure all final product pallets sorted follow the correct production procedures

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Previous dairy experience preferred

Good general level of education preferably to HNC/HND standard in food technology or equivalent preferred

People management experience

The successful candidate should have good people supervisory skills. In addition, you will have excellent planning and organisational skills. You must be a proven problem solver and can use your own initiative to resolve operational issues and drives continuous improvement.

Pay: 14.80 per hour
