Production & Despatch Support Operative

to join our team at our Skelmersdale facility.

This is a key operational role working on the shop floor, supporting the efficient flow of goods through our production and logistics processes. You will act as the link between production, transport, and despatch, ensuring stock is prepared accurately, loads are coordinated effectively, and customer deliveries are dispatched on time.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and coordinate goods ready for despatch, ensuring all items are accurately labelled and documented. Liaise with production teams to monitor job progress and confirm completion of loads. Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials for delivery. Communicate with drivers and the transport team to manage collections, drop-offs, and delivery schedules. Monitor stock levels, reporting shortages or discrepancies promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised despatch area in line with company standards. Input basic data into internal systems and support with related documentation and paperwork.
Requirements

Previous experience in a despatch, warehouse, or production environment (essential). Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments. High level of attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach. Comfortable working in a physical, fast-paced environment. Basic IT and data entry skills (training provided). Dependable team player with a positive and adaptable attitude.
