The Role
We're looking for a
Production Engineer
to join our high-performing operations team and help scale and optimize our contract canning processes. You'll be at the heart of production -- driving efficiency, maintaining machinery, and ensuring every can that leaves our facility meets our rigorous standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the canning line, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime
Monitor and improve production processes for efficiency, safety, and quality
Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to implement process improvements
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production equipment
Analyse production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Support equipment installation, upgrades, and layout optimization
Train production team members on machinery operation and safety practices
What We're Looking For
Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
2+ years experience in a manufacturing or beverage production environment (canning experience a plus)
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with food/beverage safety standards (HACCP, GMP, etc.)
Data-driven mindset with problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to work flexible hours when needed, including occasional weekends
