Working with our Labour Agency (WMS Recruitment), we are seeking
Production Line Leaders
to work within the
Lincolnshire Field Products
fresh vegetable factory, based at Wykeham, on the outskirts of Spalding.
Regular work will be provided to applicants, who will be employed by WMS Recruitment.
We expect hours to be from
05.30 to 15.00 each day. This will be worked on a 5 from 7 shift pattern which will include one weekend day.
Additional overtime hours may be available.
The main duties of the role will include:
Experience in running and operating flow wrap and vertical form seal machinery.
Responsible for ensuring production operatives on the line are working in accordance with required operations and company behavior standards.
Delivering on set KPI's for your line.
Ensure that standard labour numbers and the appropriate skills are allocated to achieve the planned production output.
Ensure all staff are trained in the skills needed to achieve high standards of safety, effectiveness, productivity and job description.
Assist and support the Factory Manager in the development and implementation of a rolling plan for continuously improving the manufacturing operation within the department paying particular attention to quality Safety and Cost.
Ensure the team on the line understands the specifications required by each customer and produce is produced in line with the Technical quality standards.
Maintain your working areas to the required GMP standard and clean as you go.
Take full responsibility for ensuring that all relevant quality control paperwork is being filled in, checked and signed off.
Ensure that yields are maximized.
Use the correct procedure for signing out labels to ensure labels are accurately allocated.
Ensure at the start of each shift all relevant pre-start line checks are completed and signed off. Confirm that any follow up actions that may be required are reported as necessary to the Factory Manager.
Improve line efficiencies and challenge performance to exceed targets.
Report to the Factory Manager on a regular and informal basis during each shift, details of unplanned downtime and any other problems which might impact on customer service and production performance
Ensure the use of stock in rotation that has been allocated to your line.
Complete production operative duties on the line as required.
Encourage your team to report all engineering and maintenance issues at the earliest opportunity.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food production environments
Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
Mechanical knowledge related to production line equipment
Basic maths skills for inventory management and quality control
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting
Excellent communication skills to ensure effective collaboration
