Key Responsibilities





Overall management of the assembly and production workshop, including new builds and refurbishment projects. Lead and coordinate a team of up to 15 direct reports, ensuring they are performing to expectations and developing in line with individual training plans. Ensure all builds are completed accurately, on-time, and within the allocated budget and specifications. Oversee workshop safety, housekeeping, and adherence to company health & safety procedures. Liaise with engineering, procurement, and project departments to ensure correct specifications and timely delivery of equipment. Plan and review production schedules and labour requirements in coordination with Managers and Directors. Conduct inspections of manufactured equipment, including pressure and hydrostatic testing. Prepare Job Travelers and Risk Assessments to ensure safe and efficient working practices. Ensure compliance with Quality Systems and contribute to ongoing improvements. Assist with environmental compliance and ensure company assets are maintained and accounted for. Mark up drawings and produce As-Built documentation. Drive continuous improvement and uphold company culture and values across the production team. Carry out any other reasonable tasks to support the business objectives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





Proven experience in a similar production or workshop management role within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, refurbishment, and testing processes. Demonstrated experience managing teams, developing training plans, and conducting performance evaluations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams. Commercially aware, with strong time management and budget management skills. Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities. Analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making and performance monitoring. Strong commitment to quality standards, safety, and continuous improvement. Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and documentation. Familiarity with health & safety, environmental compliance, and quality assurance procedures.
