The Role



Permanent Full Time

As the Production Manager you are part of the KJN site leadership team, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the production, delivery and quality of services/products, while also driving operational improvements and efficiencies across departments. You will work collaboratively with your peers in internal sales, design and estimating to ensure best in class customer service to customers.

Key Responsibilities



Be the H&S first point of contact and liaise with others for fire and first aid Own the operating procedures for the shopfloor, ensuring these are kept up to date and communicated to relevant colleagues Management of saw, machining, assembly, packing and stores departments and ensuring processes are being followed Own the KJN production schedule to drive consistent workflow and ensure delivery targets are achieved Lead weekly production meetings Own the production forecast providing weekly forecasts and updates to the KJN MD Support KJN colleagues and customers regarding lead-times, queries and issues Full accountability for quality control standards for outgoing assembly orders Own and deliver the training plan for all colleagues on the shopfloor, including succession planning Management of both profile and accessories stock levels Own the apprentice training programme including the co-ordination and review with relevant authorities Own the shopfloor budget, make recommendations for continuous improvement and ensure efficiencies are implemented and the gains measured Own the shopfloor resource plan, reviewing to ensure KJN has the resource levels to consistently deliver internal targets and customer service levels Record, monitor and manage production KPI's Address and organise machine maintenance and proactive preventative maintenance Participate in meetings with customers and suppliers as necessary Carry out regular one to ones with supervisors and complete annual performance development reviews Manage HR duties to include but not limited to training, absence, probation reviews and recruitment
