In this pivotal role, you will oversee the day-to-day running of all production areas, ensuring quality output and efficient workflow while managing approximately 50 team members.
Success in this position requires strong expertise in manufacturing operations, with a relentless focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Your communication skills will be vital in minimising disruptions, avoiding line stops, and supporting the company's reputation for 100% delivery performance and zero-defect production.
You will work closely with the Production Planning team to ensure that the shop floor is fully resourced with the right materials, labour, and machine availability to meet customer demands and production schedules.

Special Skills
Deep knowledge of Production Management and procedures
Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
Experience in reporting on key production metrics
Knowledge of MS Office, NAV Dynamics software and ERP systems would be an advantage

Requirement for a Production Manager with proven experience in a manufacturing environment, to support the production work within our excellent delivery and quality expectations and targets.
Duties include - but not limited to:
Enforce health and safety precautions and ensure the team follows safety regulations and procedures
Consult with other managers and team leaders to formulate objectives and understand requirements
Monitor production to resolve issues
Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (Quality inspectors, operators, warehouse etc)
Determine number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc)
Ensure the output meets quality standards
Work within a team to make production schedules which fit in requirement of all customers
Ability to prioritise manufacturing, customer requirements and machine capacity
Communicate, collaborate, plan and proactively do what is necessary to ensure on-time delivery and excellent customer service
Proactively identify any bottlenecks and raise concerns with team leaders to generate solutions
Deliver high-quality output rates in line with KPI targets
Manage and motivate a team to achieve peak performance
Drive continuous improvement and implement lean processes alongside the wider engineering and CI team
Take a proactive approach to decision-making and problem-solving
