Key responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
Manage and supervise the display dismantling line, ensuring all display is processed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
Coordinate staff and resources to meet throughput targets and minimise downtime.
Monitor production KPIs (output per day, quality of material breakdown etc.) and implement corrective actions where needed.
Health & Safety
Ensure compliance with all site health and safety procedures, including safe handling of all materials
Conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
Promote a culture of zero incidents through training, toolbox talks, and active supervision.
People Management
Lead a team of operatives, including supervisors, team leaders, and ROTL's (released on temporary license)
Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and support staff development.
Manage attendance, conduct, and employee relations issues in line with HR policies.
Compliance & Quality Control
Ensure all dismantling activity complies with WEEE, EA, and internal standards.
Liaise with compliance teams on audit preparation and reporting requirements.
Maintain accurate records for traceability and reporting purposes.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements using Lean, 5S, or similar methodologies.
Monitor material recovery rates and support initiatives to maximise value extraction.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve working conditions
Reporting
Provide regular reports on production volumes, efficiency, quality, and H&S incidents.
Analyse data trends to drive decision-making and resource planning.
Qualifications & Experience
:
Essential:
Proven experience in a production management or supervisory role in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of health & safety practices, ideally NEBOSH or IOSH certified.
Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, target-driven operation.
Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience with Lean / Six Sigma / CI tools.
Knowledge of environmental compliance and WEEE legislation.
Worked in a changing environment moving from people to machines
