The
Production & Operations Coordinator
will play a key role in
managing inventory, overseeing production workflows, and ensuring timely order fulfilment
. This involves working closely with
senior management
, supervising a small production team, and ensuring stock and packaging supplies are always available.
The role is physically demanding, involving
manual handling and heavy lifting
, as well as the use of
production machinery
. The successful candidate will be
adaptable
to changing circumstances have strong
attention to detail, practical knowledge, and excellent organizational skills
.
Key Responsibilities
Stock & Inventory Management
Book in new stock, log
certificates of analysis
, and maintain accurate inventory records.
Monitor stock levels, ensuring
essential oils, cosmetic products, packaging, labels, and supplies
are always available.
Check stock against orders to prevent shortages.
Safely
handle and store large and heavy containers
of essential oils and cosmetic products.
Production & Order Fulfillment
Oversee manual filling
of 5-litre and 1-litre Allis.
Supervise and schedule the workload of
two production workers
to meet order deadlines.
Operate
bottling, capping, and labeling machinery
.
Assemble goods on a
production line
, ensuring products are finished to a high standard.
Monitor production processes, perform
basic quality checks
, and report equipment faults.
Use Microsoft Excel
to create
packing lists
for outgoing orders.
Pack goods for shipment
, ensuring correct documentation is included.
Adapt work schedules to meet
order turnaround times ranging from 2 days to 2 months
.
Communication & Workflow Management
Liaise with senior management
, providing updates on stock levels, production status, and workflow needs.
Communicate any urgent stock requirements and proactively
adjust schedules
to meet demand.
Prioritize multiple jobs simultaneously, ensuring production efficiency.
Ensure deadlines are met, which may require additional working hours.
Physical & Manual Work Requirements
Regular heavy lifting
and manual handling of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
Extended periods of standing and active work on the production line.
Maintain
clean and organized
workspaces and machinery.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential.
Ability to
adapt to changing customer demands
and manage shifting priorities.
Proven track record of working
and ability to work closely with senior management.
