Easy Composites is a leader in the manufacture and supply of materials for the advanced composites industry. We are looking for a Production Operative to train as a Composites Laminator within the growing manufacturing side of our business, based in Stoke on Trent, UK.
Experience in composites laminating and production would be an advantage but is not essential as full training can be provided. What is essential is good practical skills, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and an enthusiastic attitude to learning new skills and producing high quality work in a fast-paced environment.
As a Composites Laminator, you will be working with high-tech composite materials, known as prepregs, accurately positioning these materials into moulds and then carefully vacuum bagging them before they are cured to make high performance parts. The nature of the work is predominantly clean, lightweight and precise.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately laminating (positioning) prepreg reinforcements into moulds.
Vacuum bagging the laminated parts ready for cure.
Cleaning and preparing moulds for re-use.
Demoulding components.
Loading components in and out of automated machining operations.
Accurately completing work, maintenance and quality reports.
Maintaining a clean, tidy and organized work environment.
Experience & Requirements
Experience working in manufacturing or production environment.
Excellent manual dexterity and general practical skills.
Ability to read and follow drawings and technical work instructions.
Strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
Good work ethic and reliability.
This is a practical, hands-on role which will involve being on your feet most of the day.
Employment Details
Hourly rate from 12.60/hr, dependent upon experience.
The position is full time (37.5hrs/week) and permanent.
Based in our modern industrial unit in Stoke-on-Trent.
Working hours are Mon-Fri, 8am to 4pm.
