Production Operative

Alitex Ltd, established in 1952, is a thriving family business specialising in designing and manufacturing world-class aluminium glasshouses. We are recruiting for an assembly operative to join our reputable manufacturing team to support in various operations.

About the Role

We are looking for a Production Operative to join our team. We are happy to help people develop the necessary skills, but you must be hard working and reliable. Experience of working in a dispatch environment preferred but not essential.

This job role involves Checking and packing parts Preparing the Aluminium products for powder coating. Able to operate hand tools to achieve the desired finish for the powder coating process. General support across other areas within the workshop. Skills Desirable but not Essential.
Standard Working hours are:

7.30am to 4.30pm Monday - Thursday, 7.30am to 2pm friday

working a basic 40 hr week. Start and finish times may vary depending on the department worked in.

Salary:?From 27,000 to 29,000 per annum depending on experience.

Required Skills

Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions and take initiative when necessary. Interest in working with aluminium or within an engineering environment. A keen eye for detail and a high standard of finish. Reliable and trustworthy. Good time keeping and attendance. A flexible approach to overtime if required. A desire to develop and grow

Other items of note

Alitex is based in a rural location near Petersfield in Hampshire, with limited access to public transport. The role is factory-based. Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK. 22 days holiday per annum, extending to 24 after 1 year's service. You will have monthly development meetings with your line manager.
