Job Description

We are looking for a minimum of two people to join our friendly teams in the P4 and Lux Box workshops. Pay will be dependent on your knowledge and age. If you haven't worked in a manufacturing environment or this will be your first job after leaving education, then the Assistant role may be a better role for you to begin your working life, starting rate 8.00 - 12.25. However if you have previous production experience the Operative role offers a starting rate of 10.00 to 12.42

Job Summary:
As a Production Operative/Assistant you will report to the Deputy Workshop Supervisor and/or Workshop Supervisor. You will be responsible for completing Works Orders, either building sub-assemblies or full product builds directly from the bill of materials and with reference to the assembly instructions. While producing items you are responsible for highlighting any build issues directly to the Deputy Workshop Supervisor or Workshop Supervisor.

You are responsible to comply with the company's 'Staff' and 'Health & Safety' handbooks, ensuring you always follow the company policies and procedures.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

WORKSHOP

Building sub-assemblies Assembling and wiring products Wire preparation Printing off labels used on products Preparing leaflets Undertaking product testing when authorised Following wiring diagrams and instructions Ensure tools are fit for purpose and used as trained Maintaining a clean and tidy work area Picking, packing and other duties as required Flagging build/parts issues to Workshop Supervisor or Deputy Workshop Supervisor

ADDITIONAL TASKS

In addition, if/when you have the relevant training, you may be requested to carry out the following;

Driver - To collect and delivery stock. Preparation and inspection for despatch Use of the forklift Weekly 'Health & Safety' and 'Environmental' check (e.g. Fire Alarm, Fridge Temperature etc.) Risk assessments COSHH

COMPANY MEETINGS

Attend 'Production Meetings' Appraisal meetings as scheduled by your Line Manager Communication meetings as scheduled
