Role Overview





The Planning Co-ordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting Armstrong's manufacturing and project delivery operations for the manufacture and assembly of Packaged Plant Rooms (PPR) and will be required to liaise across multiple functions including Operations, Quality, Purchasing & Engineering.



They will be responsible for ensuring data integrity across ERP and workforce systems, coordinating production schedules, monitoring resources and materials, and facilitating communication across teams. This role demands accuracy, strong organisational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing production needs, all while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities





Production Planning & Scheduling


Coordinate and maintain production schedules to meet delivery targets and customer requirements. Monitor project and works order progress, assisting with close-out for both factory and site-based projects. Reduce bottlenecks by balancing workload and capacity across teams.

Data & Systems Management




Validate Full Time Employee (FTE) and contractor bookings via ERP (LN) and attendance systems (Tensor). Validate contractor invoices against submitted timesheets and system data. Report, monitor, and correct data in LN, Factory Track, and Tensor. Track and report system usage, ensuring accurate workforce data and efficient induction, training, and usage by all personnel.

Inventory & Materials Control




Monitor stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and consumables, creating picklists for the warehouse in line with build schedule. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain to align material availability with production requirements.

Communication & Coordination




Facilitate communication between production, procurement, planning, finance, HR, and quality assurance teams. Act as a point of contact for resolving operational issues during production.

Documentation & Reporting




Maintain accurate production and workforce records. Prepare reports and dashboards for management visibility on production efficiency, workforce utilisation, and progress versus budget. Develop and update SOPs, work instructions, and documentation to standardise processes.

Quality, Safety & Compliance




Assist with quality checks to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements. Ensure production activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Continuous Improvement




Identify and support opportunities for process optimisation in planning, scheduling, and data management. Propose corrective actions and support implementation to improve efficiency and accuracy.



Role Requirements




High level of numeracy and accuracy in data entry and reporting. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Knowledge of production planning and scheduling best practices. Previous proven experience in a similar role Strong systems knowledge within ERP (preferably LN) and related IT platforms. Proven ability in data analysis, problem-solving, and operational issue resolution. Organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with cross-functional teams. Adaptability to adjust schedules, plans, and data in response to production changes. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
