We have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Planning Manager to join our Modular Solutions Division. This role will be based at our site in Sherburn until the move to Malton in Spring 2026.
Severfield Modular Solutions offers a market-leading suite of products, including an expanding range of modular products to cater to diverse needs, including 'Severstor' units (robust, steel-framed modules that house critical systems equipment such as electrical switchgear) and 'Rotoflo' technology (a well-established high-efficient and controlled discharge system representing a major advance in materials handling technology).
From its facility in Sherburn, it also provides a one-stop shop for steel products and processing service using our extensive range of equipment and allows us to address smaller scale projects. They continue to set the

Vacancy Details
In the Production Planning Manager position, your role will be key to ensuring efficient planning and scheduling of production activities, contributing to the smooth running of our manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Schedule Management: Plan and prioritise production based on drawings, materials, and job complexity; manage schedules across multiple product lines for optimal efficiency.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with design, procurement, logistics, and manufacturing to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
Progress Monitoring: Track production progress and adjust plans to meet changing needs and deadlines.
Inventory & Procurement: Oversee inventory and coordinate with procurement to ensure materials are available when needed.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and address risks such as delays, shortages, or design changes.
Systems & Tools: Use planning systems and software to enhance scheduling accuracy and visibility.
Quality & Improvement: Collaborate with quality teams to meet standards and support continuous improvement through data analysis.
Logistics Coordination: Liaise with transport teams to manage delivery of finished modules.
Documentation: Maintain clear records of plans, changes, and performance metrics
Key Skills & experience:
Industry Experience: Experience in production planning or operations management, ideally within modular construction, offsite manufacturing, prefabrication, or industrialized building systems--though other sectors may be considered.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, interpret technical drawings, and adapt plans to changing requirements.
Technical Tools: Hands-on experience with planning and scheduling software such as ERP systems and MS Project to streamline workflows and allocate resources efficiently.
Modular Construction Knowledge: Understanding of module design, assembly, transport logistics, sequencing, and site coordination is highly desirable.
Leadership: Experience in supervising or mentoring planning teams and cross-functional groups, with a focus on achieving performance targets and KPIs.
