Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Production Quality Engineer to join our team in the UK. Based in our facility in Tipton, this role is vital to ensuring the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes, supporting our mission to provide top-tier precision components for aerospace and commercial clients.
Responsibilities
Help to maintain our AS9100/ D approval.
Have an understanding of 8D, PPAP / PFMEA / AS9145.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Compiling, reviewing, and submitting First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
Carrying out containment activities to protect customers and support continuous improvement.
Raising, reviewing, and submitting PPAPs in line with varying customer requirements.
Supporting and performing internal and external audits, as well as hosting audits from customers and third-party organisations.
Controlling and maintaining required quality standards, data cards, and manufacturing sequences.
Managing and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Hosting on site and customer site visits for quality related issues.
Skills and Experience
You will have a good understanding of the following quality tools, standards, and methodologies:
APQP, including AS9145 requirements
PPAP
PFMEA and Control Plans
Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), including 8D, 3C, and PIR
First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
AS9100/D
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Internal auditor qualification (or working towards)
Confidence when dealing with customers at all levels, both internally and externally
Microsoft Office suite
