Overview


We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production processes adhere to food safety standards, maintaining high-quality output, and supervising a team of production staff. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production team to meet daily targets and quality standards. Ensure compliance with HACCP protocols and other food safety regulations throughout all stages of production. Monitor food safety procedures, maintaining rigorous standards for cleanliness, hygiene, and safety. Oversee the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Implement and enforce health and safety policies to promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular inspections of production lines to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. Assist in training new staff members on operational procedures and safety protocols. Maintain accurate documentation related to production processes, quality checks, and safety compliance. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any non-conformances or product defects promptly. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analysing workflow processes and recommending enhancements.

Qualifications



Proven experience in food production or manufacturing environments, with a strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards. Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating and maintaining production equipment. Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and data analysis. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong leadership qualities with experience supervising or managing teams. Good communication skills, capable of training staff and liaising effectively across departments. Knowledge of food industry regulations and best practices is highly desirable. This role is integral to maintaining our commitment to producing safe, high-quality food products while fostering a positive working environment for our team members.

Pay: Up to 29,000.00 per year
