Origin Live is a Southampton-based manufacturer of award-winning Hi-Fi equipment, specialising in tonearms, turntables, electronics, and upgrades. Founded in 1986, we have grown successfully and steadily to now be a team of 12 whose products are sold in over 40 countries worldwide.

We are a privately owned, British company dedicated to reproducing music as it was originally played. We design and manufacture nearly everything ourselves, striving to produce the highest-quality products that exceed both customer expectations and those of our rivals.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a bright, conscientious person who wants to become part of a high-quality production team located in the City of Southampton. Work involves the meticulous manufacture of parts and assembly of products for the premium Hi-Fi market. You will be involved in a wide variety of activities and develop your skills in operating machinery, finishing and polishing parts, assembly of products, testing and quality inspection in an ever-developing environment.

Experience in a production environment is a major asset, but if you are looking to learn, we are happy to teach. What is most important is that you have an inquisitive mind, want to make a difference, can recognise where priorities lie and respond to them, good at understanding what is expected of you and the consequences of failing to meet these expectations, plus are a calm, proactive problem solver who is not afraid of coming forward with better ways to do things.

Starting pay is negotiable and rises with experience.

Requirements

- Good manual dexterity

- Good eyesight and ability to spot defects

- Good memory for procedures relating to production and assembly

- Ability to learn new tasks quickly

- Flexibility to carry out a wide variety of differing roles

- Ability to operate well as part of a team

- Conscientious attitude to work

- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

- Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines

We are looking for this position to be filled long-term. Full training will be provided. There will be opportunities for the successful applicant to develop skills and take on increased responsibility leading to further remuneration.

Starting Salary

26,000-31,200 per year depending on experience & aptitude
