We are small soft furnishings manufacturer based in Darvel, Ayrshire. Currently we have an exciting opportunity for a Technologist to join our Product Team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member with technologist experience and a keen eye for detail. The role requires to ensure all products are approved for safety, legality and quality whilst being fit for purpose, In line with customer quality assurance requirements and critical path.

Collaborate closely with our suppliers and customers based within the UK & Overseas. Providing technical and packaging advice to aid product development decisions in a timely manner maintaining critical Path timelines.

Prepare product specifications detailing make, packaging and quality standard. Work closely with Suppliers in Far East & China during product development ensuring Individual customer product requirements are met. Process red & gold seals with the confidence to approve, update customer workbooks and specifications. Highlight any areas of concern to the suppliers and customers. Inspect and document measurements for red & gold seals, with the confidence to approve sealing samples against the required standards. Approve product colour against the master sample and sign off. Work closely with Lanfine manufacturing staff on product development and other manufacturing /technical enquiries providing solutions and support. Experience is developing packaging and labelling items with suppliers and factories. Select trimmings for size and colour where necessary and present to the customer for approval. Ensure packaging items, red seals and gold seals are all approved in line with the critical path timelines. Populate product spreadsheets in relation to product and packaging for retail customers. Send fabric and product samples to customer and suppliers as required. Collaborate with staff across the business to meet deadlines, quality standards maintaining timely completion times

Profile

Ideally 2 years experience within a Technologist role ideally within soft furnishings or apparel. Understanding of quality management systems. Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality. Highly competent IT Skills- Outlook, Excel, Word with Photoshop being desirable. A positive can-do attitude. Comfortable working as part of a small team. Excellent Communication & interpersonal skills. Flexible and adaptable. Self motivated, able to manage own workload and be a team player. Good organisational skills. Problem solving skills. Used to working in a fast-paced environment.

Full -time or Part-time considered. Permanent position. Pay -Attractive Salary depending on experience.

Experience

Technologist experience in soft furnishings or apparel: 2 Years preferred.
