The Byre Theatre is seeking a creative and motivated Programme and Marketing Officer to join our busy and professional team.
Based in the heart of St Andrews and part of the University of St Andrews, the Byre is a vibrant venue presenting a dynamic mix of professional, amateur and student-led work across theatre, dance, musicals, music, opera, festivals, film screenings and special events.
We're looking for someone with a passion for audience development and a strong track record in marketing. You'll bring excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. You'll also combine creative flair with a strategic mindset--understanding how insight and data can shape programming and marketing decisions in the arts.
In this role, you'll plan and deliver targeted marketing activity across digital and print platforms to support a diverse and balanced programme. Your work will help us connect with a broad range of audiences, build attendance, and achieve income goals.
We are looking for someone with:
Degree level Qualification in an arts or marketing related subject
Interest and understanding of a variety of art forms
Demonstrable understanding of monitoring and evaluation of marketing and publicity campaigns.
Proven experience managing and creating content across a variety of social media platforms, with an understanding of brand voice and responsibility for upholding organisational standards.
Excellent understanding of visual communications
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Microsoft word
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities to tight deadlines in a busy working environment
