As Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in organising, managing, and delivering a portfolio of projects worth over \xc2\xa3100 million. You will report to a senior director and supervise a team of Project Managers to ensure projects are executed efficiently, meeting quality and cost objectives. Additionally, you will be able to represent the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) at a senior level externally and will be responsible for producing reports for the UKAEA\'s Executive Committee, Board, and the UK Government.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day to day running and ongoing management of the programme on behalf of the SRO to ensure that desired programme objectives are delivered and that the expected benefits are realised.
  • Provide clear leadership to the Project Managers; resolve obstacles to strategy delivery within the programme and lead the identification and employment of solutions to overcome them. Manage the programme budget, including risk allowance and management reserves.
  • Lead on developing the programme strategy and implementing programme delivery to all relevant stakeholders (business change managers, BEIS, Exco etc). Act as the government liaison, industry networking and public facing roles as required by the CFO and CEO.
  • Lead on preparation for OCG reviews and action their recommendations.
  • Ensure the program adheres to UKAEA\'s Quality Assurance standards, lead prioritisation, and value engineering efforts as needed to maintain budget and align with strategic goals.
Qualifications

Essential skills, experience and competence required
  • Excellent leadership, communication, influencing, and collaboration skills MSP\xc2\xae Foundation, Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner (or an equivalent programme management certification).
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to make sound economic decisions that maximise programme value.
  • Extensive experience managing commercial contracts and procurements.
  • Proven ability to handle ambiguity, uncertainty and high levels of complexity in project delivery.
  • Substantial experience in working with a diverse range of senior stakeholders and external partners, ideally with an element of public funding.
