The project:
The projects incorporate the latest modern methods of construction and standardised processes. As part of the role, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the delivery of a project through the construction phase which is already on site. This role sits in our consultancy business, specifically the justice sector.
This position will suit a candidate looking to further their career that is fast passed and industry leading. This is a client-facing role based partly on site where you will be responsible for managing wider consultant teams and project stakeholders and working with the project team to deliver the project successfully. The role requires oversight of a project for the delivery of new prisoner places, based in Lancaster. You will be the dedicated site Project Advisor, reporting into a Senior Project Manager who oversees this project along with another site. You will also be supported by an Assistant Project Manager.
Due to location of the sites - this would ideally suit a candidate based in the North region (Leeds/Manchester area). There is an expectation that you will attend site on a regular basis.
A great opportunity for a Project Advisor to join our established Ministry of Justice sector within Mace, which is currently experiencing an exciting and sustained period of growth. The existing team has a proven track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of projects of the highest quality across the MoJ prison portfolio.
You will be working on a project within large programme of works with an alliance framework contractor and established professional team. The works comprise construction of new buildings along with some refurbishment/upgrade of existing facilities. This role will provide experience in project delivery throughout the construction stage to meet defined time, cost, technical performance and quality requirements. You will be highly motivated, understand developing a project plan, identify any specialist requirements and support with leading an existing professional team to drive forward the clients' strategy. You will be responsible for management of necessary project governance and assurance tools to fulfil our obligations.
As a Project Advisor you will successfully lead in all aspects of delivery by building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues and supply chain members.
Please note: The role entails hybrid working with attendance on site - exact requirements can be flexible but a minimum of 4 visits per month, spending the remaining days working from home or a Mace regional office as required. EL1 vetting clearances will be required for this role.

You'll need to have:Proven project management experience.
Professional accreditation (MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS) or equivalent.
Degree or relevant construction discipline qualification.
Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
