Project and Events Assistant - Enterprise Launchpad (Fixed Term Contract)
The
Careers and Employability team at the University of Chester
is a dynamic, student-focused department committed to empowering every student to thrive in their career journey. We work collaboratively across the University and with external partners to deliver innovative programmes that support career readiness, enterprise, volunteering, and graduate success. We are looking for a Project and Events Assistant to join our team on a full time, fixed term contract until 26th June 2026.
The postholder will support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of a new HEIF funded, Enterprise initiative designed to enhance student and graduate enterprise capabilities, foster regional innovation, and contribute to graduate employability.
You will support the organisation and delivery of the 3-day Enterprise Launchpad event and associated networking activities, including coordinating event logistics, creating promotional materials, supporting the recruitment of participants and facilitators and managing stakeholder engagement.
The postholder will also support data collection, and deliver post-programme support, ensuring a high-quality experience for participants and partners.
You should have relevant administrative experience, preferably in a Higher Education setting, strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders. Strong IT and organisation skills with the ability to plan and prioritise your own work are also essential for this post. Experience working with students or young people, supporting events or projects, and an understanding of enterprise and employability in a university context are desirable. Flexibility to work across different University sites is also required.
