Brief Description
To provide assistance as required to the Safe and Effective Working project team in the delivery of projects.
Safe and Effective Working is a dedicated team focused on the design, implementation and governance of a series of innovative planning and delivery improvement initiatives across the rail network. This work is focussed on protecting track workers from trains and delivering work as effectively and with the least impact to the travelling public and freight operators as possible. We are embedded across the geography of East Coast, North & East and East Midlands Routes, where we employ strong interdepartmental and cross-boundary approaches for strategic, realistic and purposeful change.
About the role (External)
Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
1. Assist the Project Management team in the delivery of projects to time, cost and quality in a safe manner.
2. Collate, format and distribute data to support project requirements. Cascade to internal and external parties where appropriate.
3. Using the available reporting systems and guidelines monitor and report on project progress.
4. Maintain and generate project and programme documentation in accordance with project reporting system guidelines.
5. Participate in projects as required.
Are you?
Educated to HND/HNC level, relevant project or administration experience.
Ability to organise and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.
Strong organisation skills
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Computer literate (Word, Excel, PPT)
Do you have?
Knowledge and experience of applying project methodologies.
Obtained or working towards a project related qualification.
Networking and stakeholder engagement skills
Commercial & financial awareness
