Ameresco provide Project Management and Project Consultancy Services incorporating all elements of a project lifecycle including Investment Grade Audits/feasibility studies, capital justifications, front-end engineering and detailed design, right through to full turnkey project completion. Our core clients operate within the Public Sector, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and Food and Drink sectors. The diversity of our market and the projects that we are asked to undertake, means that our Project Managers will have the opportunity to deliver a variety of projects and technologies.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Bristol working predominantly on the innovative and world first Bristol City Leap project. Bristol City Leap is a strategic partnership between Bristol City Council and Ameresco with Ameresco acting as BCC's delivery partner on decarbonisation projects. Ameresco are currently implementing multiple projects across Bristol under this unique partnership. The successful candidate may also work on wider Ameresco projects across the UK as required.
The Project Manager may be required to work on a variety of client projects at any one time depending on the size and scope of the work.
The role is expected to provide strong leadership in a matrix environment to promote best practices in managing interrelated projects and programmes to ensure successful delivery.
Strong project management and excellent organisational skills are fundamental, as is the ability to liaise with people at all levels of the organisation.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and have a flexible approach to work. They will be client-driven and passionate about energy efficiency and renewable energy. They should be able to demonstrate good organisational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritise work under pressure and complete tasks / projects within deadlines.
People are important to our business and therefore the ability to interface with other functions & disciplines at all levels throughout the organisation is vital. Additionally, the Project Manager will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to collaborate & communicate successfully with counterparts within the Client organisation, Energy companies, contractors and subcontractors
Although predominantly based in Bristol the role will also require the willingness to travel across the UK, where required, to cater company demands.
Skills & experience:Experience in Construction Project Management / Implementation functions for projects, ideally covering either housing, solar, energy efficiency works or M&E building works Alternatively, HND in Construction or Engineering discipline or equivalent Good understanding of H&S and CDM duties and roles Strong understanding and experience of PAS2035 standards for housing project delivery Strong organisational skills with a keen focus on meeting project objectives and successfully delivering projects whilst meeting or exceeding expectations in relation to H&S, Quality, Cost & Time Strong integration skills with the ability to co-ordinate and bring together multiple stakeholders to enable project delivery Capability to provide timely, accurate and relevant project and portfolio reporting Experience of resource planning against the prioritised portfolio of projects and ability to work with the project team and business to manage project resource needs Capability to track project benefits realisation and lessons learnt activities to feed into on-going improvements Ability to monitor and report on project budgets across the portfolio. Very good IT skills in relation to Word, PowerPoint and Excel and MS Project or other project tools

Specific responsibilities:Managing PAS2035 development process on Social Housing funding programme (SHF Wave 3) Support other housing projects during development and delivery phases as required Manage and coordinate sub-contractors, consultants & internal project resources to deliver the project on time and budget and to the required quality Report progress to the Client and manage any project variations, scope changes, compensation or relief events. Ensure the planning and scheduling of all works related to project activities & timelines; tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools Monitor and report on progress to Implementation Manager as required Manage internal resources to deliver the project Ensure that the installation of the design is planned and delivered to meet the overall project timeline Ensure that the Issued for Construction design is implemented and adhere to a robust design change procedure working with the Engineering function Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations and adhere to Health, Safety & Environment Policies and Procedures to deliver a project with zero accidents Manage & mitigate risk Deliver quality throughout the construction and testing / commissioning phases Optimize team / resources utilisation

Supplementary responsibilities:Project Development - Support bid and development teams to review, relevant project, construction and programme sections of proposals Support project development in the preparation of estimates / CAPEX Mentoring and coaching the project team to implement best practice & improve project delivery
