Fortem Solutions are recruiting for a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Stonewater Housing contract, based in our head office in Chippenham. This is a full time, permanent position and we're looking for an established and experience Project Manager to join the team.
The Client
Our contract with Stonewater is long term with the option to extend the partnership again. On our contract we cover over 7,500 houses in 4 different areas of the South-West, from Taunton and Yeovil, over to Bristol and Swindon and down to Salisbury and Bournemouth. We currently deliver Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works and an Electrical Service program. We pride ourselves on our great customer service and our senior leadership team has years of experience within this sector which can help you develop your learning and knowledge base.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include: o Organise and review works schedules, including resources, materials and supply chain requirements. o Liaise and manage teams of contractors and direct construction/trades labour. o Establish standards of quality on site and ensure delivery of a build in accordance with the specification and project requirements. o Follow procedures to mitigate risks of complaints when working in or around occupied premises. o Communicate effectively with clients, project team and contractors. o Engage and develop excellent relationships with supply chain, client representatives and consultants. o Plan cost effective use of resources and forecast resource requirements in line with budget and projected works o Ensure resources are adequate and competency of the team for the works involved o Securing strong relationships with the client to ensure the potential for follow on works. o Monitor work to agreed budget. o Identify risk and put in place appropriate contingency planning.
What You Will Need
Essential Criteria o Previous delivery of relevant projects within the Social Housing sector ideally o Ability to read, interpret and understand programmes, drawings, schedules and specifications o Proven ability to work to and develop operating procedures. o Comfortable producing progress updates for the client in preparation for client meetings & internal reviews. o To be commercially aware, comfortable working alongside the commercial team, c confident in challenging others and ensuring programme deadlines are achieved. o Valid UK driver's license Desirable Criteria o Experience of working for a social housing clients o Experience of overseeing multiple projects
