Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Project Manager for a 3 Month contract based Remotely.

Purpose of the Role:

The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering complex regulatory, operating model and business change within time, cost, quality, and management of the associated risk profile. They are responsible for monitoring the performance of their project team and providing SME guidance and best practice - working across multiple different work streams.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and taking ownership for all project plans/controls and resource plans, progress reporting on plans/controls and resource requirements, and ensuring the plan is in line with any wider programme plans/controls.
  • Owning managing and supervising the risks that exist in the project, ensuring mechanisms are in place to identify, report, manage and mitigate risk within a defined Risk Appetite, working in conjunction with the 2nd line of defence in your unit with a focus on proactive end to end risk management, leading to an improved control environment.
  • Managing the project via the relevant frameworks and ensuring that all project deliverables satisfy the requirements and that they adhere to the agreed Governance Framework.
  • Building and maintaining a positive working relationship with Stakeholders across multiple franchises and functions and at different levels of hierarchy, including respective Technology or Business Project Managers.
  • Managing the implementation of the architecture outcomes so that the design and components are in line with the Bank\'s approved repositories of information this includes use of standard catalogues, models, inventories and patterns.
  • Ensuring that activities are in place to adequately prepare the business and engage all the appropriate stakeholders effectively to enable change to be implemented and handed over.
What we require from the candidate:
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in Regulatory Change, Developing Target and Business Operating Models.
  • Experience delivering in both Banking and Investment Banking, working across Business and Technology transformation.
  • Previous experience working as a Project Manager, ideally in a Financial Services environment, and with corporate governance background.
  • Knowledge of operating model design, process optimisation, technology delivery, and data sourcing/lineage, and project management.
This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
