Key Requirements:
Proven experience managing bridge construction or large civils projects.
Technical knowledge of temporary works, formwork systems, and lifting operations.
Strong leadership, planning, and health & safety focus.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Setup & HSE Compliance
: Oversee initial mobilisation, develope site specific RAMs, ensure H&S signage, welfare facilities, and safe working practices are in place from day one. Proactively address and develop working behavior and culture across the site
Team Leadership
: Coordinate site teams (supervisors, black hats, operatives), ensuring roles are clear and aligned to project milestones.
Quality Control
: Manage inspection and test plans (ITPs), including RECKLI finishes and pre-/post-pour documentation, ensuring all works meet technical specifications.
Temporary Works
: Prepare design briefs, coordinate with engineers (e.g. PERI), review working drawings, and supervise installations.
Lifting Operations
: Produce lift plans, appoint qualified lifting teams, and ensure compliance with lifting procedures and certification.
Materials & Logistics
: Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment, liaising with suppliers and internal teams to avoid delays.
Programme Management
: Working alongside the planner to track progress against the master programme, submit weekly and fortnightly lookaheads, and adjust resources as needed.
Client Liaison
: Act as the main point of contact on-site, attending coordination meetings, issuing updates and minutes.
Commercial Awareness
: Monitor resource use, support cost tracking, and assist the QS with change control and CVIs.
Safety & Reporting
: Report near misses, NCRs, and safety incidents. Participate in root cause analysis and share lessons learned to drive improvement across future projects.
