For over 20 years, SMG Surfaces had supplied, manufactured and installed bespoke Marble, Granite, Quartz, Quartzite and Terrazzo products across the UK, for both commercial and domestic customers, creating stunning kitchens, bathrooms, floors, fire places and more.

Due to SMG's continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to lead the end to end completion of each job and who will be reporting directly to the managing director. The Project Manager will be the main conduit between the installation and factory team and will be responsible for:

- Travel to client sites to survey/template, and cross check against technical drawings

- Production of technical drawings and cutting schedules

- Quality control

- Production of RAMS

- The end to end management of each job from survey to sign off, and being the central point of contact for Customers, Factory team and Installation team

- Follow all health and safety, and company policies while working on-site

Leading a team of fixers in the installation of our Stone products, you will be responsible for the overall team productivity, product quality and delivery of our work program. The successful candidate will be energetic, professional, responsible, highly driven, positive, enthusiastic, confident with an exceptional work ethic and have a minimum of 5 years project management experience within the stone industry or a relevant closely related sector. You will also be confident coaching, guiding and developing a team of Stonemasons and fixers to deliver an exceptional product, efficiently and accurately.

The successful candidate will:

- Have a minimum of 5 years project management/templating experience within the stone industry or a relevant closely related sector

- Have experience using AutoCAD for stone fabrication

- Have experience managing and communicating with all key stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of each project, including clients, contractors, and employees

- Have knowledge of materials both natural and man-made

- Hold a valid CSCS card or equivalent

- Hold a full UK driving licence and have a flexible approach to location and work schedules

- Have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail

- Have experience creating project schedules, cutting programs and managing resources across multiple projects

- Experience templating with a Pro-liner or laser would be a distinct advantage, however training can also be provided (tools supplied by the company)

- Experience loading cutting schedules onto the various machines would be an advantage
