Location: Hinkley Point C

Salary: \xc2\xa350,000 - \xc2\xa370,000

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract \xe2\x80\x93 12 Months

Hours: Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday, 40 hours per week

My Responsibilities\xe2\x80\xa6

Reporting to the Design and Build Contracts Manager, the main part of your job will be:

  • The delivery of multiple projects, each valued with budgets ranging between \xc2\xa350k and \xc2\xa310 million
  • Lead, guide, and direct project teams to ensure projects are completed safely on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations throughout all project phases.
  • Drive effective contract negotiations to achieve optimal value.
  • Adhere to corporate governance processes, maintaining program and budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure effective management of risk on each project.
  • Collaborate closely with on-site partners and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other key parties involved in the projects.
What are the requirements?

To be successful, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need:
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience, Chartered Engineer qualified is desirable.
  • Significant experience in a management role.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, KPI reporting, and project management tools.
  • Relevant Health and Safety training such as SMSTS or IOSH and knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, including Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM Regulations 2015, and more to ensure a solid understanding of safety requirements.
  • Experience in engineering project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
  • Proficient in construction management, both office-based and on-site.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication abilities, capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating teams towards successful project completion.
