Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple medium to high complexity projects at KCOM. You'll take ownership of timelines, budgets, and resources while working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.


This role is a key part of our Digital Transformation Team, focused on delivering software and digital projects.

Key Responsibilities:




As a Project Manager, you will:

Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timelines, and budgets. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and governance documentation. Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and reporting. Collaborate with IT and delivery teams to balance resource demand and optimise delivery. Monitor budgets (Capex and Opex) and maintain financial controls. Identify risks early, implement mitigation strategies, and prevent project failures. Support business case development and investment proposals to drive business value. Champion continuous improvement by identifying new ways of working and driving efficiencies. Ensure all projects meet defined objectives and quality standards before formal closure.

Requirements:




We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Proven experience delivering software/digital projects across the full lifecycle.

Strong track record of managing project budgets and financial accountability. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Familiarity with project governance frameworks, reporting, and best practices.

Experience in telecoms or IT is highly desirable.


Qualifications:



Essential: Industry-recognised Project Management certification (e.g., APM, PMI, PRINCE2, AgilePM, BCS).

Desirable: Degree in business, IT, or related field, plus additional Agile or technical certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner).

Skills and Tools:



Expert use of Microsoft Office and MS Project/Planner. Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or SPM. Strong resource planning and demand management skills.
